Default New Front Wheel Question

I recently acquired a front wheel off of a 2014 Heritage with ABS. I bought it for the tire since I needed a new one. It was a dealer take off wheel. I was wondering how much work it would be to fit this wheel to my 1990 Heritage? I know the bearings are 1"(25mm). Is there anything else I would need. Wheel has the brake rotor on it also. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Lower fork legs, new caliper, another way to get your speedo to work as your speedo drive won't work with that wheel, figure out what spacers you need.
Probably more but that's what I can think of right now.

You'd be better off just taking the tire off and selling the wheel to someone else.
I don't know what you paid for the wheel but you might get enough money so that you get the tire for free.

Thanks for the info, I'm probably better off selling it as a whole and just getting a new front tire.

I'd think you could get $200 or more for it if it's in good condition.
You'd still get a new tire for free that way.

You really need to learn your units of measure! 25mm is NOT 1", although 25.4mm is. I use 1" bearings and axles on my 1990 Glide and adapted a 3/4" rear wheel and 25mm front wheel, however it does require quite a bit of determination and effort!

My pleasure! There is an irony in that your government passed a law to go metric, back in 1975, but they omitted to say when it would be implemented! They really should be educating you all for the great day - when it eventually comes!

The World has gone metric around you - as are your Harleys, little by little. The day will come.....
