Went For Compression Releases And...

Mike I thought having the engine block breathing from the lower vent for the breather valve was a good thing. HD switched to top breathers in 93 for emissions venting the crankcase to the air filter.

Granted I didn't do it on the 111 but that's just so that any oil that sumps goes back to the tank with a head breather instead of on the ground like it does with a case breather that sits too long but that was a personal choice 'cause I'm lazy that way.

It shouldn't be the ignition system. The Daytona Twin Tec ignition and coil are less than 3 years old. I checked the voltage regulator a couple months ago before I replaced the battery to make sure that it wasn't the cause of the battery going bad.
I always use 93 octane and almost always use stations with Top Tier Gas which means that their detergent additives met the minimum concentration. The stations I use exceed the minimum by 5 times the LAC required by the EPA. I will occasionally use Ethanol Free 93 when I can get.

Tony the only way you're gonna get that much carbon build up is from oil getting into the combustion chamber.
Since you have a case breather then I'm gonna guess valves or valve seals but that's just a guess since you didn't say anything about broken rings on the pistons.
I had virtually the same build before dropping in the 111 and I never had any consumption that I saw.
