Crashone,

Thank you for the reply. That's kind of the feedback I was hoping to get. I was under the impression that literally nothing worked with the 95-96 ECM so I was a bit suspicious about the auto tuner.

The ev 13 is the cam the shop recommended .

I would go with an EV-13 as well. I have an EV-27 in my '98. It is better than stock, but I miss that low end the the 13 would give. I would also pick up either a used '97-'98 EFI and a tuner of your choice. I am using a PCIII.

I have a 1996 Electra Glide Classic, I have the EV 27 cam with Magnetti Marelli EFI, I have the 97/98 ECM with the power commander 5, power commander 5 auto tuner, and their data logger with display. With the auto tuner you have to have the dual O2 sensor, kind of pricey, but works good.

Thanks to everyone who has chimed in. I'm pretty certain I'm going ahead with the EV-13 cam, Torrington bearing, new lifters and the Cobra Powrpro Black auto tuner for the MM EFI.

I already have Supertrapp slip ons but looking for suggestions for air cleaner. What air intake would you recommend? What is everyone else running?

I have the Screaming Eagle air cleaner, it was on the bike when I got it, so I have nothing to compare it to.

EV13 and tune with Direct Link.
Just did one for a local client.
He was amazed.

You can get a high flow air filter like K&N that fits under the stock cover. Take your stock backing plate and drill some 1/4" - 5/16" holes around the outside edge. This will allow more air into the system.
I'm running a 2-1 exhaust on mine as well.

An older (95-96) Magnetti Marelli.? Would you recommend this over the Cobra Powrpro? I've never heard of Direct Link but you have my attention sir!

I actually like my stock, round cover so this is perfect. Thank you very much.

Some bad info present, the Direct Link won't work on a 1996 M&M ECM. The ECM is locked and not able to be reflashed or reprogrammed. Direct Link Key says it's compatible with the 96 but needs the VCM-TR3 to work and the VCM-TR3 isn't compatible with the 96, good stuff.

Link attached of Direct Link isn't compatible with the 96 ECM but not giving details of a non-programmable ECM is the reason.
