Performance build questions! TC 88
Ok guys, need some advice, got a 05 electra glide tc88 st2 intake, bassani true duals, vh 4.5 slipons, .. thinking about building engine, 95,bb kit, was thinking and let me know pros and cons of everything I'm about to ask!!
Will stock 103 heads fit a 88?
07 stock 50mm throttle body?
reaper 574s or ss510 cams?
so!! As follows
want to 95 kit my 88,put stock 103 heads on it,upgrad my 44mm throttle body to a stock 50mm and put either the reaper 574s ot ss 510 cams . I know it will have to be tuned and dynoed ect but will all this work??? Want to keep it all stock looking with stock HD parts(except cam chest) what yall think?

When I did my 95" build, I used Andrews 26N "conversion"cams. The "N" cams work with the 96" cam plate and the 3/4" inner cam bearings the 88" engine has. The cam drive and oil pump are all OEM 96" parts. I also installed a set of stock 96" heads. On a Bagger, I'd go with more of a torque cam than a top end cam but that's just my preference. I assume the 103" heads will work on your bike but I can't tell you anything about the larger throttle body.

I used the S&S 97 inch big bore kit with Screamin Eagle ported heads. I already had 510G cams and a Power Commander III. I had it dyno tuned at about 1200 miles and the damned thing runs like a raped ape. It dynoed out at 102/tq and just under 100 hp. The only thing it’s missing is a 6 speed tranny.

I might consider contacting fuel moto. You want to keep "matched " parts together, for a better result. They have some great packages with head work done to a point that gives maximum flow/velocity. I assume your bike is FI , and they have a map for it that will also match, and give great tech support in final tune stages. Unless you have a lot of experience in calculating flow velocity, and squish clearances, along with a few other little tricks, this is a good way to go, and they are very reputable.
\reread, and saw throttle body, yes it has FI! My bad!

That aside, we have several tuning specialists who are also HDF sponsors, notably FM and Hillside Cycles. Either can offer you a proven upgrade tuning package, with all the matching components you could possibly need for your build. They may even give HDF discount (not sure about that)!
