Default Help identifying cam and ignition

Everything came out of a 1985 fxrs. PO said guy he bought it from did the work. Said the bike ran like a hot 80” but it threw a rod and punched a big old hole in the case so I never rode it.

Ignition is single fire, mechanical advance weights, mounted in cam cover. That’s all I know. There is some markings on it you can see below. I’m thinking crane?

Cam I know nothing about. Motor also had Andrews adjustable pushrods installed by PO x2 at the same time so I’m told. Stamped on timing gear and then very roughly engraved on last lobe. Pics below.

Any help is mich appreciated

No Pics, as I assume you don't have enough posts yet
Ignition sound like Dyna S-Single fire...2 modules, 2 pickup magnets, and a mechanical advance Mechanism.
BTW also No Rev Limiter, which is probably why the rod let go!!!!! RPM's are killer on these old Engines...
The cam???? I remember Crane having some Cam ID engraved onto them...

Well ****... I'm Typin and Boom...Pictures... you musta been off putting up posts to get the count to 10!!!!! LOL

That is one of the Very Good Riviera Advance mechanisms also...
But, the Cam and Ignition do Not look like I expected to see... the pick-up is even different... Can't tell ya who's they are...

Crane Cam with their multi-index cam gear. One position gives 4 degrees advance to the original cam timing and another position is 4 degrees retarded to the original timing. Cam is from their Hi-Roller series...maybe
0 = original timing
A = 4 degrees advance
R = 4 degrees retarded

I like the looks of that cam.. doesn't look like it's hell on a valve train. If you have a set of vernier calipers, measure up the base circle of the cam as well as the total lift of the cam (base circle to the top of the lobe) with that info I might be able to figure out the manufacturer.... It's definitely beyond stock....
