So I found a complete set up from a 2008 flh. Headpipes, heat shields, and screamin eagle mufflers. For $100. I think for the money I'll try that and see what happens

If it were me I'd take that $100 it to tuner and get whatever you choose dialed in properly. I'm not sure what sound you're looking for but my Supertrapps don't sound much different than stock mufflers, just a bit louder.

The Supertrapps have a fiberglass warp inside each muffler that needs occasional replacement. The beauty of the Supertrapp system is you can tune the sound level and performance to your liking. I replaced Thunderheader duals with Supertrapp duals with no loss of horsepower and a 5 ft\lb torque reduction because I wanted it to be quieter, It's a very versatile system that other mufflers can't offer, you're stuck with what you have. I can listen to the radio now with no noticeable loss of power. I still get mid 40's or better fuel economy.

I dont want to sound like a know it all...or a dick...but I can't see giving money to someone to tune a bike i can tune myself, and have it run well. It's just one super e carb, and a fairly stock engine. I can change jets and timing. No Indy around me has a dyno, the only shops that do are dealships. Ive been tuning carbureted engines of varying designs for a good bit now, and I'm pretty confident in my abilities.
So anyway...got the exhaust system, I'll try to install it this weekend and see how it suits me
