After reading the bad things about Hylifts on this forum, I ordered another set of OEM lifters from a dealer. What came in the box was a set that looked identical to the Hylifts, except the rollers were loose and sloppy on the axle. In any case, what the MoCo is selling these days is nothing like the last set of OEM lifters I had. Caveat emptor.

I'm sure some of you guys have had good luck with them and that's coo but I'm not running a stock motor... On another note or should I say the funny thing is that I've always used OEM and never had an issue. I only went to S&S on a recommendation... I currently have a special Fueling lifter set in the motor that I can't seem to quiet down... They are similar to a limited travel lifter like the S&S but they don't have a .100" spacer inside. They are machined with only a limited amount of travel which is If I can remember .123" and need to be set to a .068" depth but are a little noisy at idle and cruise (2600 rpm) so I set the preload 2 more flats and they actually became a little noisier.. I will say that I've never had an issue with OEm. I only change them out based on a recommendation.. Then I got lost in the sauce...

Don't get me wrong. I've never used the Hylifts but have had issue with others and I'm wondering if its because of the rpm range and not the lifter.. In a discussion with the engineers at S&S, they would not back their lifter over 6200 rpm.. And honestly I reset my rev limiter tho 6k rpm. I'm tired of repairing my motor....
