No problem, just wanted to clarify in case someone else in a similar situation reads this 2 years from now.
Just like me digging up an an old post with a linked pdf file showing your curve maker advance curves. I saved it, but from your post today, it sounds like they did not work out? YD

The down loaded ignition curve works but it renders the switches useless. It's like an override in the electronics. The thing I was worried about was with a built motor with a specific tailored ignition curve what would happen out on the road on a real hot day and only **** gas available....? Can't do anything about it on the side of the road to decrease the timing if it started pinging (detonation). No flexibility....

Ah, I get it, that makes sense. And that was one of my questions regarding curve maker.
So once you put a custom curve in the module, the four pre-loaded curves are gone forever? No way of putting those four curves back in or in other words, no way of bringing the module back to “original” factory settings with the four preloaded curves? YD

Right, by downloading your new custom curve it makes everything else inoperable until you reload and go back in to take that curve out and go back to the preloaded curves then you can make them work again but how you going to do a download on the side of the road or at a gas station or somewhere where you don't have your laptop...

Does the green VOES light on your ignition come on during idle and turn off when you twist the throttle? It should work that way.
Also is switch #1 off (down)? Report back the way the switches are set. Remember to turn off the ignition each time a switch is changed so the new setting will take effect.

If I understand you correctly, with a custom curve loaded the standard 4 curves no longer work (no longer available for use). Go back in with the computer and data cable and remove the custom curve and the standard stock curves start working again without having to reload them back into the module? Thanks again.
I also like the concept of having the four curves so you can flick a switch to change the curves. YD

Well, bike definitely pings less on curve 2 with VOES wire disconnected. I think I hear an occasional ping, bit a drastic difference on curve 2 with VOES unplugged vs. VOES wire connected and on curve 3. I tried curve 1 with VOES disconnected just for the heck of it, but the bike did not like that.
The weather was pretty cool this eve so fattening up the mid range with a shim will be next and probably won't hurt. YD
