91 FXR stock 80 to a 96"
#11
A 124" in a 540lb (wet) bike would be insane. Going with a Baker and Bandit setup and of course a chain conversion. I was just looking at a bike very similar to this at a FXR event in Sacramento a few weeks back. A 93 was for sale $28k! The wheels were RSD and cost almost $6k. I think it had a 124" motor. Like I said, this one I'll never sell so like any custom build I'll have way more into it than it would ever be worth.

Plenty of good stuff out there without doing all the extra work of case boring. Heads, cam and high compression pistons, I went with Revolution Performance 85” with 10.5:1 and their head work with a Tman 590 cam, it’s got all the power I need. The extra stroke on 96” in stock cases will compromise reliability.

We have a client, in Vernon Center, NY, with a Wood 6, our heads and a 96" in a 1997 Heritage........148,000 on the engine now, almost 1/4 million on the chassis, still going strong.
As long as the cases are of good quality, 96", 106", 108", or even a 114".
Problem with a 5" arm engine is that you NEED to stay on top of hardware that'll loosen.
They can also raise havoc with the frame, ie breakage.
