Maintenance, including cleaning, is just a way people attempt to get ahead of problems before they occur or before small problems cascade into big one$. If you doubt the effort is worth it, then don't bother. Its no-one's business but yours,,, an idea which works both ways, incidently.

Since plugs seem to be at the top of the routine check list by the majority. Never has be mine, but now I’m concerned... If ONE of the plugs was to perform poorly, how would I know?

GR,

There is a tandem seat Spit over here. Jus' sayin'.....
Thanks....., Our first bucket list traval item is a trip to GB and Italy since that is her heritage and beautiful... A visit to Hornchurch, BigginHill, and the RAF Museum in London will be a thrill, just hearing a Merlin is spectactular. Aviation is my thing and I have studied the B of Britain extensively, many of them also participated the the Great escape, Bushel, Tuck, etc....quite a bunch... My Dad flew 50 trips out of Africa and Italy in B-17s and 24s... couple more years to retirement...

I like the NGK iridiums that cross for our stock part number... dropped a set in 37k miles ago and haven't looked back. Pull them out every now and again to take a look and they are always light mocha and running fine.

My Bike always wanted a new set of copper cores every other oil change. She'd get hard to re-start when heat soaked.
