As long as I don't hit a head wind my road trips are solid for tools, this is how I roll but a handful when a truck goes by.

Torx, not torque. You know, the star looking ones?

Find a torx fastener on our bikes and we'll show you the torx bit for it.

What? Nobody has ever heard of the Harley took kit? Six different sized hammers?

I know my Dyna and my bagger have them. I thought my FXR had some torx bolts too. Guess I’m wrong. Too lazy to go downstairs and look.

You will need a torx socket to pull your fuel tank. For fuel injected bikes that need a head temp sensor replaced, a torx socket and deep well socket are required to make the repair (assuming you carry a spare head temp sensor). My Road King eats those stupid sensors like candy.

For a basic tool roll, I bought one of these:
Amazon Amazon
Well thought out and they packed stuff in there you might not have thought about.

Found: Handlebar controls, like for a broken throttle cable?

Taken from my FXR2 service manual.

The killer problem with the EVO if you have other then a stock cam
is the NON-tapered pinion shaft.
That little nut that holds the drive for the cam can come lose.
There is not much of a key to hold it all in place.
If I was going on a big trip I would check that now rather on the road.
Bent valves are a bummer to fix in a parking lot.
BTDT
Mine is now welded. ( tigged 2 spots)
Yes I can grind the spots off and remove it when the time comes.
I am not wanting to buy that T shirt again !
