Default Oil leak pissed

So I have had this dot of oil on the exhaust side and I can't find the frekin leak, untill today. Brand New clutch cable has a hole in the clear coating. Can this be patched up or is the cable junk?

Try using heat shrink tubing with the sticky stuff inside.

I would clean it with some solvent to remove the oil, and use some clear epoxy

I used liquid teflon on the threads of the cable when I changed mine a few weeks ago

2nd.

Get the good stuff at Home Depot. When it shrinks it hardens really tough and releases this glue type stuff on the inside.

Here is exactly what I used and it worked very well. It's made for Marine applications. My exhaust burned through the casing.... No more leaks...

You will need to disconnect the cable from the trans to slip it on..... Clean the cable housing with alcohol....

You might get away just loosening the adjusters and removing the lever end to slide the heat shrink tubing down the cable, then hitting it with a heat gun.

That is, of course the leak is actually coming THRU the cable as opposed to around the o-ring that may or may not be on the business end of the cable.

I did the "powder" trick on the cable. Def. Not coming through the oring. It has a pin drip drip right where I feel a blemish in the clear coat of the cable. I put some high temp silcone after I cleaned it up wrapped it in heat shrink. Today no leak.
