Default Refitting Exhaust on S&S V111

I’m getting ready to bump up my ‘97 fxdl and I’m not sure on what to do. One option is to just throw in a new engine, an S&S V111 being one of my options, I’m just afraid that my Bassani 2 into 1 won’t fit. Any one do a swap out and have problems with the exhaust, I believe the cases are a little wider than stock.

I think it will.
If the 111 had different geometry on it's exhaust ports then only certain exhaust would fit and as far as I know you can bolt whatever exhaust to the S&S motors that you want to.

Why would you fear that?! I have an S&S 107" with a SuperTrapp Supermegs, which fits just fine, in fact it is for an '08 twincam yet fits my 1990 Evo. The ports of Evos and twincams are unchanged, so any system for them will fit at the heads. All I had to do was sort out a mounting at the trans cover for mine, which was simple enough.

I've never used a Bassani, but am confident it will work for your new project!

It will fit. Trans mount unchanged by going to a different motor manufacturer. As gbrown said, at the heads = same.

Just bought the Bassani Road Rage last night for my S&S 111. All Iv been told they will fit. If any problems Bassani will help you out. I bought mine at DK because they will let you return anything no questions asked with free shipping both ways.

You’re gonna like them, I went from supertrapps 2 into 2 on my worked Evo to the Bassani 2 into 1, I was very impressed, the only regret is that I didn’t do it earlier. Let us know how you like them, I’d be interested to know.

Being Christmas postage may be slow but DK does well on getting stuff to ya quickly. The 111 rips with the VH Straight shots so I cant wait to see how the 2-1 RR does. Hope it mellows out the parking lot throb, acts like its pissed off your not giving it gas. Should quiet a little with more bass rumble.
Sold my JBL L7 speakers today for $800 so that covered the $700 for the RR. Had the L7 for 25 yrs and still got $800.
Maybe have the Bassani on the WG next wk.
