How Many Miles in 2017
#11
Was a good riding year for me and also the Mrs.
Around 9K miles 2 up riding on my 2008 Yamaha Royal Star Venture full tourer. The only bike my wife rides on.
Around 3200 miles on my 97 RK. My personal local rider.
Almost 800 miles on my completely restored 1967 Honda SS125. Can only get up to about 50mph on that thing going down hill with a hurricane on my back, but what a blast to ride. Not to mention a real conversation piece.
About 200 miles on my 1966 Honda CA100 (another restoration) that I just ride around our small town.

8,807 miles this year. It was just riding to the store, out to lunch, and so forth. I live in the middle of nowhere, so it's about a 100 mile ride to go anywhere. I retired at the end of April, so I could ride whenever I wanted. Mileage was the highest since 2005, but by a narrow margin.
That brings the bike to about 215,000.

Uncle G, I know what you mean being in Upstate New York it can't seem like it's the middle of nowhere being from Poolville, I fully understand. But as time passed I realized that I actually lived in the middle of everywhere. Utica, Syracuse and Binghamton were all less than an hour..Albany was only a hundred miles. Had the Catskills and the Adirondacks or the planes down the Allegheny County so pretty much anywhere Upstate is almost the middle of everywhere... Wish I was back up there..... How's it going?

Things are fine here. I'm managing to keep busy in retirement. Now that winter has come, I'm working at putting the old rock band back together. Who'd have guessed that at age 65 I'd still be playing lead guitar in a rock band (or still WANT to)?
Where are you located now? Your "location" still says "Poolville."

Believe me, I get that. I'm smack in the middle of some of the greatest riding anywhere. I'm only a couple of hours away from several major cities or some of the greatest country on earth (in my admittedly biased opinion). But that does explain how I can put so many miles on a bike without going that far from home. I don't need to.
