Is your speedometer working?
The flashers cancel because of a white/green wire from the speedo to the flasher module.
There is a connector in that wire between the speedo and the module that you should check for corrosion if the speedo is working.

Son of a seaweed suckin' seacook sailin' south!!! As a matter of fact my speedo isn't working. I just noticed that this afternoon. Didn't see it in the morning at 5 am. Now I have to figure out if it's the speedometer or just the cable. I wonder what my chances are that it will be the cheaper one of the two.

Thanks THC.
Best bet is to check the cable first.
They are usually the first to go.
Well I discovered that the speedo drive wasn't working. The little tab was bent and twisted out of the slot in the rotor. I got it tapped back in and the cable is now spinning when the wheel goes around. I figure something happened in the speedo to cause the tab to come out of the slot and sure enough the collar in the speedo is sloppy and spins freely with no movement in the needle so I guess the speedo is toast.
