Lead shot in handlebars
After installing the Badboy bars and the urethane riser bushings the mirrors are just about useless from the vibrations. I looked at the barsnakes and it's expensive for what it is and wonder if anyone had tried lead shot inside the bars? Figured it's pretty cheap and easy to remove if it doesn't work.

RE: Lead shot in handlebars
I have a 2003 Night Train & I have solid stainless steel pipe inserted inside my bars underneath the grips. Each piece weighs about 1/2 a lb.
The vibration problems I've experienced from day 1 isn't so bad that it affects my mirrors but the vibration is bad enough to where myfinger tipswere completly numb after just a 40 or 50 mile cruise.
I installed new bushings in the risers and ISO grips.
That still wasn't enough and while searching for a solution I found information on a Sportster Forum about an old skool solution of installing a roll of nickles into your bars to change the weight distribution, frequencies and harmonics.
I ended up instaling the weights inside my bars and all vibration was gone!
I recently installed new Street Slammer bars on my Night Train and after I was done, I realized that I had forgot to install the weights inside the bars. [:@]
I decided to see how the new bars felt without the weights and after just a 25 mile round trip my fingertips were numb.
I took my grips off and re-installed the weights. All vibration is gone now! [sm=smiley20.gif]
