I'm still of the opinion that, assuming the bike passes a basic mechanical inspection, you would be getting the WAY WAY better end of the deal in an even trade. So much so that I am a little suspicious of why the owner would do it.
But, whatever. I'm sure he has his reasons. Maybe he's just bored.
As others have said, you will probably take a step backwards on reliability, which doesn't mean the FXR will be a constant headache. Just means it will probably need more care and feeding over time than your Dyna.
