84 Harley FXRT Master Cylinder Rebuild
I am rebuilding a 84 FXRT Master Cylinder. It had plenty of junk in it when I stripped it down. I brake cleaned the heck out of it and then hit it with compressed air so I thought it should be good to go but the front hole is completely clogged shut. Is it supposed to be that way? I'm guessing not but maybe. If it is supposed to be open should I just jam a pick through the hole or is there a better way to clean it out.
Thanks in advance for your help. Much appreciated!

I'd get a needle and scrape away some of the junk to see if it is a hole or just an indention first.
