Default Windshield swap

I'm picking up a 95 FLHT later this week and would like to know if a windshield off a 12 SG or other model years are interchangeable into the batwing-type fairing? The bike has the tall windshield on it now, and I'd like something lower. Have a shorter shield from the SG lying around.
Thanks

In that case try it and let us know if your SG shield fits! You may be doing us all a favour and treading new ground. There have been various changes to the batwing windshields over the years, the obvious differences being the number and pattern of the fixing holes. You may find you can fit your SG shield by simply drilling suitable holes. It is possible the curvature may be significantly different, however I suspect they are all similar.

Ride it as it is for a while, don't take the wrenches to it too soon!

We'll, the 12 SG shield won't work without drilling quite a few holes. I think I'm just gonna cut the current shield down to my liking.
