no start panhead

Default no start panhead

i have a panhead, linkert carb, joe hunt magnito. timing is good, magnito brand new, new plug wires, new non res plugs. rebuilt the carb. all it does is back pop thru pipes and carb, adj. push rods all good..

You may get some good info here, but I'd post this in the pan head section. Those guys will get you on track

You're way off on your timing if everything is setup correctly.

Are you running hydraulic or solid lifters?

Who adjusted the pushrods?

How's your gap on the plugs?

Not too hard once you got spark, air and fuel.

Yeah, sounds like timing to me also. Got: Spark, Compression, Timing, Gas? You're missing one if it won't start. Oh, and giant butt and thigh muscles.

Make sure you retard it before turning on the ignition unless it is an auto-advance magneto. Then make sure it is actually retarding the spark when trying to kick it.
