The last few were hard to get out in mine also ... clean it out real good and you shouldn't have a problem ...

It's going to take a lot more wear than just some witness marks to cause you a problem

The spring plate gives you a wider friction zone on the clutch lever than running straight plates and steels.

That said if mine ever goes out I will not be replacing it either.
