Default sissy bar back rest

Hey folks,

I'm looking to remove the tour pack I currently have and replace it with a sissy bar backrest for the lady. I've been looking on google and ebay and it seems like there are a lot of backrests available for 97-08 but I have found exactly ZERO for a '91.

So my question is: how difficult is modifying a sissy bar for a 97 to fit a 91? I know some of you must have done it. Looking for any advice you all have.

Thanks

You need the luggage rack/passenger backrest that The MoCo used to sell. I have one on my 93 FLHS:

Probably an obsoleted item, but there may be one sitting on a dealer's shelf somewhere. Otherwise: Swap meets, eBay, etc...

The design is fairly simple, and I imagine with a welder, some steel, and a bender one could be duplicated.

I haven't looked into adapting the late model 'glide stuff on mine, but I've read at least one post on this forum where it's been done.
