Probably cleaning the clean off his new bike.
Used to work at a detail shop many years ago, the only thing I know of that strong and not affect paint is tar remover, when sprayed on tar it would start melting it off. The tar remover was clear and came from a commercial detail vendor, also used it on cars that was rust proofed to remove the over spray from the paint

I use a product called "Bugslide". It's a cleaner,polish, bug remover. Been using it for about 5 years. It just sprays on. You can contact Gale's Sales
