Back into the 98 fatty...... Hopefully will be running this weekend. Ran into a problem with the starter drive on my Baker primary, binding. I had a machinist at work make me a new bushing (sleeve) for the drive. Now it's too tight and will not engage.... The needs to be some slop so everything can mesh....

How are you going set your ignition up, single or dual fire?

I really didn't think about it to much. I have a couple of options. I am currently using a SE programable ignition module and my original cps or a new cps I bought from standard electric.

Last year I had an issue with my Dynatek and sent it back and even though it was out of warranty they still gave me a real good deal on a new 2ki. Most likely I will put the Dyna back in but I think i'm going to still use a dual fire... I really don't see the difference between single and dual. Although I still have my single fire coil as well. Until some one can prove that there is a difference I will continue to use it, the dual fire.... I do like the ease of setting up the base timing with the 2ki though.....

Very close. I didn't want to go over 195. And with my goal of 10.3, I should be there and yes the domes are running 15 cc after milling... with the heads at 94.6 cc and Dynamic right at 9.4:1. I should know cranking pressure by tomorrow night.... Have a little problem with the starter drive. Machining a new bearing (sleeve). Can't do much without it.. Always something.....

Actually I don't think it'll be on the edge but pretty close. I didn't want to max it out.. I'm thinking in terms of easier to tune and better drivability this time and not all out power...

You know '98 I get a chuckle every time I read this thread title.
Ain't none of us ever done with our bikes unless we sell them.
We might take long pauses between builds but there is always one in the future somewhere!!!!
