Ignition mystery (well kind of)
Recently I got this idea to switch my ignition back to dual fire. It is a dyna 2000 module set and wired on single fire also with the correct dyna single fire coil. After a little wire changing, putting a jumper on the coil and switching the module for dual fire it would run for about 15 or 20 seconds and cut off. It wouldn't start back up unless I turned the ignition off and back on again. After going through the factory wiring diagram and the dyna wiring diagram I couldn't see a problem unless I was forgetting something. It has been single fire since that ignition was installed by me over a year ago and always worked. Anyone have any ideas why it would cut off when put back to dual fire? This one really got me. Thanks guys.

Which coil do you have? And which model of Dyna 2000 do you have?
I assume the instructions you have tell you to do "a little wire changing, putting a jumper on the coil and switching the module" to change from single fire to dual fire? Can you post those instructions here?
In looking at a couple different instruction sheets on Dyna's website, I'm not seeing anything that says to add a jumper wire to the coil to change it to dual fire. I'm probably not looking at the right instructions.
I'd like to learn more about these systems...
