As for the easy thingies, they all try different ways to do the same thing and all suffer from the same problem. They work fine on twincams, but not earlier Evos like mine. A post-1990 trans and clutch will not be better than an earlier set-up IMHO!

Aaaahhhrrhggg. I want to keep my Evo!!! Twin cams just aren't the same.

Unfortunately not. Do take a look around though, to see if anyone has them for sale.
Take a closer look at this item on Oz Ebay #272622077945 and see if it is sold for other Harley models. It looks as if it does a similar job.
At some time either late Evo or TC88 the trans was changed and given more clutch lift, which made those devices viable. In fact we bought a TC88 and the dealer offered one from day 1 when we bought the bike.

That's me! I bought two of them, having discovered that AMP had been bought out and all their bike stuff has been discontinued. Got mine on US Ebay. A pal of mine has had one for many years. Apparently it took him a while to get used to it, but he's happy. One day Hyacinth will see the light of day once more and I can try mine.

It's still there and I haven't burned out any clutches since.
I've got somewhere around 40k miles on it.
I wouldn't agree that they don't work on EVO's.

Adam if you do go with the shallow ramp system you need to alter how you adjust your clutch.
The book says to turn in until you hit the throwout bearing then back off 1/2 to 1 turn.
That's good for stock ramps but not so good for the shallow ramps.
If you use the shallow ramps you only back it back off by 1/8 to 1/4 turns.
Doing that will give you all the pull you need to properly actuate the clutch and it will be easier due to the shallow ramps.
At least it works for me...
