Default wheel choice opinion

The previous owner of my 99 Fatboy put wire wheels on it. He said one of the rotor bolts was stuck in an it ruined the wheel getting it out. I'm thinking about a change..I have a solid rear wheel with the black center, I picked up a fatboy front wheel too. right now I'm looking at a switchback front wheel an a fat spoke 21 for the front...what's everyones opinion on mis matched wheels, with the fat spoke or switchback front I can always get the matching rear later if I want but being a 16" rear wheel with a rotor on one side an pulley on the other not much of it shows.

back wheel

or I guess I could just leave it alone a ride!
thanks.

I'd use the switchback on the front.

I'm leaning that way THC, wanted to make sure I wasn't making a mistake thinking it'd look good

Do you still have a stock front end or are you running TC lowers?
I only ask because both of the wheels you posted had sealed bearings in them.
A bad idea IMO.

As for getting a matching rear wheel later if you have saddle bags then I wouldn't worry about it as 90% of the rear wheel is hidden.

I have a fat spoke 21 on the front of my bike. I love the look, but it handles like a dump truck....

Just my 2¢

Any chance you can put tapered bearings in them??
I've heard of the sealed bearings going bad from several of my friends,
Enough of them that I will never trust them in my wheels.YMMV

86 heritage. Next time I have the forks apart I think I'll try and lower it an inch to see if that doesn't help.

because now it sits up hill just a little bit

A fat spoke will go with just about anything...

That Switchback would look very good as well......

There is nothing wrong with sealed bearings. Like anything else, if you do your normal maintenance you shouldn't have any issue's... 3 years and 16k now on my FatBoy.....

I also hear 19" is about the most you want on the front before you start to give up on handling....
