Hello all. I have come into possession of an 86 flht. I like the bike even with all the work it needs. My main problem is the tank. Not only do I hate the bread box looking tank but it is full of rust and and a poorly done Kream job. My question is does anyone know what other tank would fit on this bike? A little modification would not be an issue as long as I'm not cutting tanks in half. New tabs and mounting points would be acceptable but really the less work the better. Thanks for any replies.

 

At a guess I reckon the later round tank should fit, although I've never done it. If you're determined, the even later 6 gallon tank can be persuaded to fit!
