Is yours wired like this? In this diagram the turn signal, horn & brake light all work in the ACC position. They all are powered by an Orange/White wire off the Acc circuit breaker. A second O/W wire powers the speedometer backlights.

It's got thermal breakers instead of fuses.

I just ordered a new harness.
They're cheap enough for my bikes.
So when I look at the 94 wire schematic and it shows your smaller fuses, they are fuse-able links or actual breakers? Is that what some one was referring to as reed switches? Or were the reed switch just a reference to the contacts in the ignition switch. However, I think the speedometer head was referred to for the reed switch.

Guinepig just answered my question..Have you checked voltage on both side of those breakers

Thermal breakers.
They throw if they get too hot and reset themselves when they cool off.

The reed switch is inside the speedometer.

Tentatively I'm gonna claim success!!!!!!!!!!!!

The PO wired in a Kuryakin module that turned the rear turn signals into brake lights.
As a last resort I bypassed the module and now everything seems to work fine!!!

If we would have known the system had a lighting module in it we could have solved the issue by post #2...

I hope you have it corrected. I'm crossed-eyed from looking at wiring diagrams.
