Strange turn signal problem

Read post 20. The hazards aren't affected by the 100 ft. cancelling circuit. If they don't work at all on the Highway not just turning off prematurely try cutting the white green wire on the rear of the speedo. Leave enough to reconnect if that's not it. there might be a short in the speedometer.

Right now I'm leaning toward hoping there are 2 ground wires that go to the TSM.
If that's the case I'm thinking that one is ground for the hazards and the other is ground for the turn signals.
I have to take it apart to find out though which I may or maynot be able to get to today but I will post what I find when I do.

That is how most small electronic control boxes like EMC and such work They control the grounds solid state, then to small mechanical relays inside them. Does your bike have the separate timer control for distance? Could it be that that one is also used in line and only breaks with a signal from the transmission speed sensor for when signals are used and not emergency flashers?
Interesting how Harley takes so long to come around to new technology. Even my 04 requires two buttons for emergency signals. However, it is all built into one alarm control for bank angle cut off and such to kill signal, check for burnt out bulbs, even the kill switch and engine and fuel pump cut off if bike falls over. Still got to be careful. I almost got hit when the signal stayed on right turn right after turning right and I was going straight. Someone coming out of another street just three house down from my turn thought I was turning into the street they were coming out of and pulled out in front of me. They were at fault but what can you say. Just lucky to be going slow enough to do turn there.

I ask because THC mentioned the signals act up just revving the engine up in neutral.

I think this was when he discovered that the symptom would show just revving the bike in the shop
If this affected the hazards I.d be asking him to ck power and ground to module
