Braided oil line leak

Braided oil line leak
I have aftermarket braided stainless oil lines on my 96 Fatboy. Two of the fittings are leaking one of them pretty substantially at this point. It appears it is the fitting themselves and not the connection. I see a set of washers being sold I do not see any washers between the fittings and connection points on my bike. Are the washers for inside the fittings and if so how are they changed?

You'll have to take apart what is on there and inspect it. A proper AN braided connection would require fittings to screw into the block, then the AN hose fitting would connect to that. I think that's what you are probably seeing as "washers" for hose fittings. These are kind of a kludge for a damaged fitting. I doubt you would have proper AN fittings on there anyway. If you take some pics, we may be able to help more.

I don't see where the fittings can be taken apart on these. You are right they don't appear to be a true an fitting.

Those look really nice....BUT...those fittings have a swivel in them...that allows you to tighten the fitting without the hose turning...when they start to leak...they are done.
I always use braided hose cause I like the look...but I always use regular hose barbs...and the fake covers for the hose clamps that "kinda" look like AN fittings if you don't look too close. Most people never know the difference.
