FXR with 113" S&S Motor
doing a 113" fxr build
managed to find a wrecked Bourget chopper cheap, stole the drivetrain out of it and sold everything else to get the money back
my fxr was an 88 so I transplanted the transmission from the chopper into a Delkron case and sold the tapered tranny
had to get new inner/outer primary, starter jackshaft, and some other parts.
Looking for a 90-93 clutch basket if anyone has one...
anyway here are some pics, hope you enjoy.

S&s 113" fxr build
Picked up a wrecked Bourget rigid chopper over the fall for really cheap and salvaged the engine and transmission out of it to transplant in my 88 FXR.
specs are:
113" S&S engine with low miles
Delkron FXR case with Jims 5 speed gearbox
Carlini torque arm
S&S Super G carb modded by Davinci
Upgrading primary to late model evo style with splined mainshaft and 1 piece starter
Here's where I am so far.
this is my first post, by the way.

how do you feel about it?
I am pretty excited to get it done
any suggestions for a clutch? I am using a 90-97 basket.
wondering if a barnett kevlar extra plate clutch pack will work or if I should just spring for a Primo pro clutch.

When I asked S&S what they recommended I was told the Barnett kevlar fibers that I had previously installed would be just fine.
I didn't do the extra plate pack I just replaced the OEM fibers with Barnett fibers.

Thanks for the input.
I actually have a hydraulic clutch that I may run off of this bike that I picked up. 127" R&R Cycles engine in it running dual S&S carbs... all the best goodies money can buy. Dude's risers broke going down the road, he was able to slow it down to almost a complete stop but ended up dropping it. Figured it to be a sign and sold it to me for cheap.
It has a Barnett lock up clutch in it but it has a very large closed primary so I can almost bet it won't fit. Might salvage a few other things off it for my build. It's too bad I just put a new 5 speed gearset in my FXR, I could have used the 6 speed Baker OD that's in this thing.

Take a close look at your comp and primary chain. I found both were showing significant wear when I was changing engines, so replaced them both.

Ran a extra plate and heavy spring clutch on 100 hp that gets the job done but didn't realize the clutch pull hardness until getting the Pro Clutch, the extra plate should hold but I know the Pro Clutch will hold 140-150 hp
