Alan, sounds like you have a workable way ahead! That cable plus a VPC sounds good. I actually have one here, but with other drive-line things I've done lately am holding back from fitting it.

The VPC for our Evos is a little bit more of a PITA to install. On the TC's, it was: pull off the derby cover, remove six bolts, install the VPC. Voila'. The Evos are a little more involved. My recollection is they need a special tool to remove the clutch spring.

Alan, my pleasure old chap! You're right, our Evos need a tool to install a VPC, in fact we need to remove the primary chaincase cover, to use it. I can't imagine successfully installing a VPC through the derby hole.
