Default 41mm Wide Glide vs 49mm Wide Glide

Are they the same width?

Is the neck stem 1" on both?

Thanks gents!

C'mon, tell us more! We can work better when we know what mischief you are up to. The 49mm forks are fairly recent and post-date Evos. They were introduced on the Touring range in 2009, may have been on a few other models a little earlier than that.

Sorry for missing you guyses posts! Been a bit busy. Just thinking of trading the 41mm wide glide on my Low Rider build to a 49mm set-up. The project is moving along rather slowly, so I have time to think about these things. Better than thinking about it after it's done......

They are a much stiffer design, being made using significantly larger diameter tubes, which perversely enables them also to be lighter. The stock dampers inside them are not a lot to get excited about, which is a shame, however they will take fully adjustable 30mm Ohlins cartridges, which is enough to make anyone bounce for joy!
