How do I reach 30 Amp main breaker in 99 EVO Heritage?
I'm replacing the 30 Amp main circuit breaker
and the voltage regulator in my 99 EVO Heritage FLSTC.
I can see the breaker, on front of rear fender behind battery box,
but I can barely touch it.
How do I get to it?
Thanks.

About the only good removing that tray does is make it easier to access the 13mm nut that holds the positive cable to the starter.
BTW that rubber tray sits on a metal one that is part of the oil tank.

Remove the rear wheel? Good grief. No other way?
The breaker works - (assuming it either works 100% or zero% ?
What I am doing is replacing the regulator. There's a long wire from new regulator to 30A breaker.
so . . . would it be ok to splice the new regulator's wire into the old wire to breaker?
Or is that too Mickey Mouse?
(this started with instant total failure of all electrics while riding including engine. Battery tested 6.5 volts, put in new battery, regulator tests bad, stator tests ok, main breaker must be working because I get power to starter and front lights (no low beam, no rear lights, no engine).

A friend of mine has a '97 FLSTC (same wiring harness as you) and his is also on the front of the splash guard.
