Default best service manual?

I have a '97 road king, love it. I can never leave well enough alone. Before I go crazy I suppose I should get a service manual.
Best option? place to buy?

Thanks!

Get the factory manual. I found mine on ebay for my 97 Road King.
Parts manual is also helpful and available on ebay.

^^This x 1000^^^
Don't buy the Clymer or Haynes unless you need a really big coaster for your coffee or beer as that is all they are really good for.

Also be wary of Ebay prices, as secondhand books are often priced higher than a new one from your local dealer. Any form of digital copy is breaking copywrite and is not a legit copy!

Not only that, it's a pain to have to drag the computer out to the garage every time I need to work on the bike.

One 5,000 mile service done by yourself will pay for the manual 2X over.

Discussion or distribution of pirated service manuals is not allowed on HD Forums. HD Harley has never released them in any digital format. Buy a hardcopy! Do it legal.

+1 on the Factory Manual. Always the first thing I buy along with the parts catalog. Easy to understand with decent diagrams. The wiring diagrams in the back of the book are a big help too.

With a factory manual and this forum, you can fix pretty much anything on the bike yourself.
