Sold my Evo tonight
I bought my 1999 Heritage three years ago with 37,000 miles on it for $6500 without knowing anything about it. It didn't run and had obviously spent some time outside (I know, I know). It's been very good to me, just hit 50,000 miles and just a couple of small issues. I loved it.
A old buddy stopped by my shop last week. He's a an old biker and certified Harley mechanic who really doesn't want a job so he gets by buying and selling Harleys and cars and trucks. He's got 8 Harleys and needs to sell a couple. One is a 1996 Heritage, 20,000 miles, always stored inside and looks like it just rolled out of the showroom, silver and red. The owner is 75 and bought the bike in 1997 and now has "lost his nerve" and sold it to my friend. Friend wants to sell it, offers it to me for $6000.
I put mine on Craigslist for $5000 for a quick sell. Guys came by with $4500 cash and I let him ride away. That was a sad moment...
Going to miss the old girl. She was maroon and black, absolutely gorgeous. And we had some great times together. But excited about my new ride. I'll get her tomorrow. Not sure how I'll like the color, but we'll see.
Pics to come.

Rode it about 13 miles home. Definitely sounds better than my SuperTrapp did. Has more low end grunt than the old bike, but not as much in the higher revs it didn't seem like. Probably the difference in the cam and pipes. Freaked me out a little not having engine guards, even though I haven't dropped a bike in quite a while.
