Default New Noise, Sheck, Sheck, Sheck

97 Ultra Classic,
I rode out to Iola for the car show & when I started back up to come home the Motor was making this noise (sheck, sheck), it never went away and seemed to get worse. I have ordered the Primary chain tension guide. Any thoughts out there?

Man, that is extremely hard to figure out, especially with that description. Noise on bikes are difficult in real life.

What does the noise sound similar to? Where do you think it's coming from? Start checking for loose items outside first. Noise while running and/or stopped. Louder with faster speed? Mileage of bike? Any previous work?

Those kinds of descriptions help. Other than that, it's a shot in the dark.

Primary chain adjustment is a good place to start. If the chain is too loose it will hit the inside on the inner primary.

Do you have the Factory Service manual?
