Thanks!Good to Know have the same year new clutch 1st thing I did with 30k on bike!

when my throw out bearing went i bought an extra one right away and threw it in the saddle bag and i did the same with the release fingers, when those broke i bought 2 right a way so i had an extra if they ever broke again. they're not too expensive and it's an easy road side fix if they break again.

An 85 may not have the oil slinger either....my 86 FXR does not.

If you think about it - every time you sit somewhere keeping the bike in gear with the clutch pulled in, that small roller bearing is spinning under the full weight of the clutch! It does a LOT of work for such a small surface area.
