Check My CV Carb Jetting Please
#22
UPDATES:100% of the jerking is GONE! Its never ran this good. No surging or anything even under the lightest throttle. WooHoo!
*** snip ***
I left the jets at 48/175. Im thinking I might could go a little smaller on the slow speed jet but hate to mess with it right now. Please let me know what you guys think. Thanks!

You have it dialed in. It is running better than ever....and then you start talking about changing stuff?!?!?

I agree and thanks for the reminder. Keep in mind though that my persistance paid off. If I had stopped yesterday, I wouldnt have discovered the crappy needle. Cant wait to check my fuel mileage! Luckily for jme, its a picture perfect day for riding and I am off. I'll know the results by the end of the day.

47 MPG! Up from 32! I cant believe I put up with this for so long and it was such a simple repair. I even tried to make it jerk and buck and it wont do it. I am amazed. I'll pull a plug here in a little while when it cools off and post another picture . Hope I havent gone too lean now. Oil temp is steady at 200 which it always is so, hopefully, I am OK.

Much better,
yes the front looks lean, check for an intake leak, if you can't indicate a leak, try 2 shims under the needle and check again
the rear looks good, correct jetting indicator would be a full turn of color on the base ring just like the rear plug, heat and timing indicator on the ground strap on rear plug looks good too.
Back off the antiseize, if any gets past the threads, it'll foul the plug
I think you had the plugs mixed up in the first picture with the new needle, I think this would be the front plug, the heat mark on the ground is too far back, possibly from being lean.
