A new tank too?

I found a heritage deluxe take-off dash assembly. The sellor sez he don't think it will work on my 98 RK.

How can I make it work? Not concerned so much about the mounting as the electrical connection and normal operating function.

Tom explains how he adapted that dash to his bike. I guess you could adapt a knucklehead tank to fit your bike but you would have to fabricate a front and rear mounting bracket. Probably more to it than that even. I like Toms idea of adapting the dash backing plate to fit your existing tank. Either way, you are looking at some fabrication to make it work. Personally, the stock RK dashes look great to me but, I do like the mix of old and new on my bike. Keeps people guessing just what the hell it is!

The dash I favor is a newish old looking cateye style from the Heritage Deluxe or Softail Slim....

Surely there is some way to hook up?
