Default Almost gone....

a guy from Daytona is supposed to come get my bike Saturday. Said he had the twin to mine, but wrecked it last year. He hasn't seen it, but says he has the cash. I hope it works, I'd much rather sell it to an evo guy than someone that needs to learn the ropes. But it will be a sad day. I'll have 10 years worth of memories. I'll refer him to hdforums if he doesn't already know about it. I haven't been around much lately, I just haven't been able to ride and things don't go wrong much! Been a lot of fun hanging here and learning from you guys.

Good luck on the sale.

Just because you sell your bike doesn't mean you can't come around!!!

Yeah you don't have to stop coming here. I'm sure you have plenty to contribute. Sooner or later all any of us will have are the memories. And they get better as the years go by.

Good luck with the sale. I know it will come eventually but I dread the day I'll have to make the decision to give up riding. But when that day comes I'll just sit on it, close my eyes and think back on all,

"....those bronze beauties
Lying in the sun
With their long soft hair falling
Flying as they run
Oh they smile so shy
And they flirt so well
And they lay you down so fast
Till you look straight up and say
Oh lord
Am I really here at last."

Prot, if I could get one of those step through scooters, I could probably ride that! But I'm going to buy a little pickup truck to replace my old '92 Ranger. I'm looking at upgrading to a '94 Ranger!

Hey Man, the look on women's faces coming at me when I meet them on a curve has always made me happy. Some looked like they were having an orgasm. Been a lot of fun!

bluharley, I ride with a guy that's 74, I know the day will come when Sturgis, and even Daytona is beyond him. I dread it for me more than him, it's been a good run, they say time waits for no man. Good luck with sale, ever in Bama let me know I got something you can ride. It's all good.

FWIW, I think you are in better health than I am.

Have a look at a Polaris Slingshot.

I saw one of those at Harbor Freight a couple weeks ago. It was a silver/gray thing. Very cool. As far as my health. I'm only 61, but when I was young and stupid, I lived in bars, and I crashed a lot. One big one, my right knew hit the dash, and it drove my lag back so hard my femur broke just below the hip and stuck out the back of my leg. I'm paying for that now. Beside the hip joint being not too straight, now I have arthritis and bursitis in both hips, and over the years it has wrenched my lower back out of whack too. So.....I'm done riding, can't hardly get on and off let alone all the other stuff. If all I had to do was sit there, I would be fine, but I have to stop and go and get on and off. And it's not just that accident, there were others. My right ankle is a mess too. Oh well. Haven't heard from the guy today, so maybe he changed his mind. Yesterday he said he'd be here Saturday, but he doesn't know where I am!
