Default 97 Ultra Classic Speedometer

I recently picked up a 1997 Ultra Classic, when I did I was told it needed a new speedometer cable (not a huge deal.) I changed the cable and the Odometer now works, still no speedometer. I called the local Harley shop about a new one and was basically told since it is mechanical, I am out of luck. I was wondering if anyone knew where I might be able to get a replacement, or even an aftermarket mechanical speedometer to replace it with?

I believe Dakota Digital sells electronic/digital speedo's that use a transducer from the cable to the head to convert to digital... They will fit like oem...

Jump on eBay. Plenty of them. They are pretty durable so I wouldn't worry much about used

Drag Specialties, Bikers Choice, J&P, E-bay, and many other places.

Oh and did the dealer you checked with do a nation wide search to see if any other dealerships have one in stock?

I have found a few parts I needed that way.

Or take the speedometer to a speedometer repair shop.
Maybe it can be repaired.
