Default An Idea I had to Cover the Fork Lock

I dont have the key for my fork lock and would never use it if I did so, I decided to cover it with something. I found that there are some sliding and hinged covers that you can buy that will give you access to the lock if you use it. I got the idea to cover it with a thermometer since I already had a matching clock . I found a guy on Ebay selling 2 chrome plated aluminum cups, a clock, and a thermometer for $11.00 shipped. I took one of the cups and drilled a 5/8" hole in the center so that it would fit flush over the lock cylinder and flat on the riser cover and then drilled 2, 1/4" holes where the 2 screws are that hold the riser cover on. I just used the old screws to mount to cup. So, here it is. Im happy with it. Looks better the plastic lock cover to me.

Here is the link to the Ebay auction that I got these from:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/321621035332...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

As you can see, there is already a hole in the center of the cup which makes drilling it out larger easy.

Interesting on how you flipped tack bracket and chose to mount it on the top of the cover instead of the front of it.
