I have seen this a few times. Front axle not in rite and spacers screwed up. Need a good picture of the whole front axle. All that gets moved around if somebody switches a spacer. But u need to make sure calipers slide back and forth on pins too.

Here are the pics( beware they are a little dark)

This is the left side. If you look closely you can see the caliper resting on the rotor.

Right side seems ok beside the small clearance(looks like 1/8in) between rotor and caliper

As I stated in other thread I plan on rebuilding master cylinder and hops that fixes but not holding my breath too much.
looking at this picture looks like the side with the 2 bolt clamp on axle? The leg needs to be tapped in a bit. The spacer bottoms on axle NOT THE LEG. Give it a look. Master has nothing to do with it. DONT rebuild master till u fix this problem first. Disc brakes do drag on pads. But not the caliper lol

Duh!!!! I meant to say shim between the pad and rotor. I will edit my post.

Joe,

Check that the Guide Pin is seating properly. Several months ago while changing the front brakes on my 94 FLHTP, I had a problem with the brakes bindings when I tightened the caliper bolts. What I found was that the Guide Pin was not seating ( it has a notch that has to fit next to a rivet ). I just looked at my service manual and it is calling the Guide Pin(#10) a Threaded Bushing and the rivet is part of the Bracket(#13) or Pad Holder as the manual says.

Joe,

Here's the diagram from my 94 Service Manual. See "View A"
