1985 FXWG Need advice

OK - I saw that link before, but not by the OP. He confirmed with an attached pic.
Still not sure what is meant by looks like a Softail. The shocks on a Dyna are pretty obvious. Yes they had one the same color, flip fender, etc.
Yes it looks a little crusty, check for pitting on the chrome. Those little thing add up quick.
As far as a value, it's what it is worth to you, could be a nice bike to ride and enjoy, not really a collector item.
Check it out in person and bid accordingly. Wish you the best.

Yea I've had a pro or two tell me Harley never put out a primary belt drive. The parts guys know, but the others are usually clueless.
Still eyes on inspection and a ride is the only way to evaluate. I've bought otherwise, but I factor in the worst case scenario.

Not quite a DYna yet
I just read 19. I guess I'm so use to spotting the shocks.

This one is in the Dallas Texas area. Low mileage and mostly original. Decent price.

The price was $7,500 a couple of months ago. He/ she has dropped the price drastically so maybe he/she is a motivated seller.
I suspect that that Ft Lauderdale FXWG may not actually be for sale. I have a gut inclination that he is just feeling out the market. I'll bet that the reserve is in low earth orbit just so it doesn't sell.
