Default Here's a dumb tire question

The air inlets on the wheels always point to the right side of the bike, correct?

In that case, my friendly indy next door installed my front tire the wrong way.

Check the direction of rotation that is marked on the tire.

Maybe he was thinking of his other right side.....
Here's what it says in my manual.

I wouldn't care much one way or another, except when I went to put the wheel back on, the speedo sending unit bound up.

It seems to me there is an indicator that shows the direction the tire is suppose to rotate, not sure how much that matters but you might want to check that as well.

No doubt about the tires. Their tread pattern is obvious.

I don't recall any Harley with the valves on the left! Only recently had a new tyre put on my SG front wheel for Hyacinth and specified valve on the right. There's another thread on HDF about a tyre being fitted the wrong way round - must be something in the air over there!

Not sure if there is an offset involved but either way I would make sure both tire and rim is correct.
