Uh no.
There are supposed to be 2 pads there.
All I see is one.

Thats what strike me as odd. I didn't recognize that part that had no pad. Wasn't sure what it is.

It holds your missing brake pad.
Go to this site below and save it, you can reference part numbers and diagrams to help you figure this stuff out.

Here is the rotor. You can see where that part that held the pad has has been rubbing on it. It only like a 1/4 inch on the edge.

Did you try to push the caliper piston inward? If it goes smoothly, you may be able to put pads in and check if the brakes are working. My guess though, is that the piston is stuck (hard lever), otherwise the holder would have pushed into the rotor and made some nasty noises or worse.

Try putting pads in and see what you have for brakes can you lift the front end? This will help, as you can then spin the wheel, apply brakes and determine if they are working and releasing properly. Having a caliper hang up is kinda hairy, especially on the front.

Sadly don't have a bike jack. The only thing I think I could do is put new pads on and see if they work.

scissor jack from your car or pickup under right side of frame towards front, balance on kickstand and just go high enough to lift tire. Kind of hillbilly.....but it does work in a pinch.

I'm not clear on what's going on here. Did you have only one pad in that caliper, the other pad in the set is completely gone?
