Ok, 1986 flhtc, replaced the big sending unit next to the push rods already. When I turn the ignition on the oil pressure immediately maxes out. I am suspecting the gauge has bit the dust. I found a gauge that went into 94-96 that looks the same but I am not sure, a part number would help. Just looking for a confirmation before I buy a gauge.

 

Might be the wire going to the gauge is grounded to the frame somewhere.
