Kickstart EVO
#41
I am in the process of having a kicker put on my 1995 Heritage. Hindsight is 20/20 and I probably should not have started this. I now have to buy another exhaust system for the bike because of the way the clutch cable enters the kicker case. If it entered the same as the factory set up there would be no issue. I had a foreign made kicker on my Shovel and I had no problems with it at all. I really like the Baker kits but it would probably be better to buy a complete Baker trans with the kicker already installed. In the end I think it will look good on the bike but my wallet will be a few dollars lighter.

I have an 84 with a baker 6 speed in a 4 speed case, with hydraulic clutch and a kicker. The biggest thing about the exhaust...virtually no exhaust say they will fit with a kickstart...even if they will...they all say 86 up. I have had 2 exhaust on mine that did not say they would fit....you have to look at pics of the exhaust and decide for yourself.
